Tip 1: Start Every Morning with a Protein Rich Breakfast
People who start each day with a high quality protein have:

"Polyester pants" at bay!
Starting every morning with a protein-rich breakfast breaks the downward spiral of carbohydrate cravings because protein is broken down more slowly, stabilizing blood sugar (glucose) levels for the rest of the day. If you wait until later to eat protein your blood sugar never catches up.
By skipping breakfast or eating refined carbohydrates (like cold cereal or a doughnut), you are not “fueling” your body’s furnace adequately. The resulting excess glucose is stored in the fat cells. EEEEK!!!! Protein is broken down slowly, resulting in lower levels of glucose that can be handled by the cells and not stored as fat.
The right kind of soy protein is one of the best protein sources. Here is what I have learned about soy protein products from the many calls we do with Cheri Swanson, a certified nutritional consultant. The local hospital refers cancer patients to her, so Cheri’s credibility is outstanding. According to Cheri, the product I recommend is a raw, uncontaminated source of a complete vegetable protein with all the amino acids present. It is processed with water instead of alcohol, so it is not chemically changed. It is clinically proven to be broken down and in the blood stream within 15 minutes.
Bottom line, you have more energy and fewer cravings!
Soy is a food that literally feeds your cells and allows the body to build healthy cells with healthy DNA. If you use vitamins but do not provide the body with the building blocks to create healthy cells, then the vitamins are simply feeding unhealthy cells. Not a good thing! Think of soy as the fuel and vitamins the catalyst. Without the fuel, the catalysts are virtually useless. If you work out this is a lean source of protein that helps develop muscle tone and definition.

Soy Peanut Butter Smoothie Recipe!
The ultimate healthy fast food for people who rush out the door in the morning!! Double the recipe, pour half in a thermos and take it with your lunch along with a multi-vitamin and B-Complex. You won’t believe the energy level and reduction in cravings!
8 oz. Pacific Chocolate Almond Milk
1 tsp Maranatha Peanut Butter
¼ organic banana
8oz. very cold purified water
2 ice cubes
3 T chocolate protein powder
Mix it up in a blender or “Magic Bullet.” As many of you know I think the Magic Bullet rules! It is more powerful than any blender I’ve ever had but a lot less messy. You drink your smoothie out of the cup you blend it in. I honestly can make and drink my smoothie in less than 5 minutes, plus take my supplements. Magic Bullets are at Walgreen’s, Kohl’s and Linen and Things.
Scrambled Eggs with Sautéed Veggies
This is one of my favorite things to have with my smoothie when I have a little extra time! It is a great way to get more veggies in everyone’s diet and tastes great! I make enough for Olivia and Victoria, as well. This serves all 3 of us!
Whisk 5 fertile, organic eggs (You can get these at CUB, Byerly’s, Simon Delivers, and local coops) with a splash of Rice Dream Rice Milk (available at all of the above). Throw in a handful of shredded organic cheddar cheese if you like. Available at all of the above). Salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
Sautee a handful of veggies in olive oil. (You can slice the veggies in advance and store in the frig. They should last a week. I like organic onions, red peppers and yellow peppers.) Add the egg mixture and cook until done!
This is delicious!
