Can you relate to any of them

Dairy and non-dairy alternatives

Yes, you can do it!

Healthy eating doesn’t necessarily mean you have to give up dairy! Just look for these healthy options. If you are lactose-intolerant, we have included a lot of non-dairy options as well.

  • Organic Valley skim milk, butter and cheeses – Free of antibiotics, synthetic hormones and pesticides

  • Cedar Summit dairy products - Cream-top, grass-fed, organic milk that is free of antibiotics, synthetic hormones and pesticides. And it comes in returnable glass bottles!

  • Tofutti Non-Hydrogenated Better than Sour Cream – No partially hydrogenated fat or trans fatty acids – a nice alternative to dairy!

  • Tofutti Non-Hydrogenated Better than Cream Cheese – Oy vey! Your whole grain bagel will never be the same!

  • Stonyfield organic yogurt – We love the individual containers and fun squeeze tubes for kids. Of course there are no antibiotics, synthetic hormones, pesticides or artificial colors or sweeteners.

  • Rice Dream - A non-dairy version of milk that comes in yummy flavors like vanilla, chocolate, orange cream and berry blast.

  • Goat cheese crumbles – Great on salads!

  • Sheep cheese – Very high in vitamins and minerals!

  • Organic raw milk cheese – Easier for your body to assimilate the calcium.

  • Pacific nut and grain beverages – Another great dairy alternative.

  • Living Harvest Hempmilk (vanilla/chocolate) (Lakewinds): 900 mg Omega-3, 2,800 mg Omega-6 with GLA, all 10 essential Amino Acids, 4 g digestible Protein….and it tastes like chocolate milk!

  • Redwood Hill Farms blueberry and strawberry goat yogurt (Whole Foods, The Wedge) http://www.redwoodhill.com/cheese_faq.htm  gives information about the company http://www.redwoodhill.com/cgi-bin/rwdhill/locator.cgi  tells where you can buy this yogurt.
